When sketching I tried to draw some free flowing forms inspired from flower stems and leaves while incorporating the speakers into the design. The inspiration for this came from houshold ornaments such as that found in the link below.
Again continuing with the free flowing forms into a very well recognisable shape of a desk lamp. The idea here was to design a desk lamp which would fit on a bedside locker and which houses two speakers in the traditional mounting place for a light bulb. The speakers would then be surrounded by LED lights. This however seemed a little impracticle as the speaker housing would not generate a great deal of sound due to the wires connecting the LED's and such made the desk lamp theme redundant.
Continuing on from the desk lamp theme I tried to incorporate a box, in a box, on a box design which I believe actually quite appealing. This was a serious contender for the speaker project however I wanted to move away from straight lines as my previous two projects where mainly straight lines and edges.
